My name is Tom Grissom. I was born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1940. After a childhood and public education in Louisville, Kentucky, I graduated from Ohio Wesleyan with a major in religion. Earning graduate degrees from Columbia and Stanford and with short tenures at Bucknell and Macalester as dean and teacher, respectively, I returned to Kentucky in 1972 and, for eight years with wife and two children, farmed 130 acres in Pleasureville. I transitioned to Frankfort for six years as a state bureaucrat before moving to Louisville for divorce and a 25 year career in healthcare administration. I went back to Henry County on a part-time basis with the purchase of Drennon Woods in 1998 and a contiguous thirty five acre farm in 2005. I retired in 2012 and now divide my time between Washington where my wife is employed and our farm, in the woods of which we built a home in 2007.
